The lodge offers a character-filled accommodation with a high ceiling and polished rimu wood floors. the rooms are clean and quiet, providing an excellent WiFi connection. the friendly hostess, Irene, goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome.

The lodge has shared bathroom facilities, making it inconvenient during peak times.

The Easter stay at this lodge was fantastic! The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We were pleasantly surprised by the great prices and the cleanliness of the place. The shared bathroom was spotlessly clean and the WiFi was fast and reliable. Plus, having free use of the kitchen was a definite bonus. The location was perfect, with key attractions easily accessible. We had a wonderful time exploring the town and enjoying the local festivities.

Although the stay was enjoyable overall, there were a couple of downsides. the steep street leading to the lodge was a bit challenging to navigate.
